South of town, the Puente Colgante Miguel Hidalgo gives Pahuatlán its easiest outdoor outing. The wooden suspension bridge crosses a green ravine, with marked trails continuing toward Cascada Velo de Novia on the Río Acalpa.
Go in shoes with grip, especially after rain. The scenery is better than the infrastructure, which is exactly why the walk feels like a mountain-town escape.
