Sunday is the best day to be in Pahuatlán. The tianguis fills the zócalo with produce, flowers, rebozos, pottery, fresh bread, and crafts from nearby communities, including amate paper from San Pablito.
Arrive in the morning, bring cash, and treat it as part market, part social ritual.
