Jardín Principal is Pénjamo's central square and the right place to take the town at walking speed. It is not the grandest plaza in Guanajuato, but it anchors the churches, municipal buildings, shops, and daily street life around the centre.
Use it as a pause between Plazuelas and Corralejo, rather than as the main reason to come.
