The old mint is now a small cultural centre and history museum in one of the town's restored colonial buildings. Its exhibits cover the mining boom, local art, and the wider desert culture around Catorce.
The building matters as much as the displays. Real once had enough wealth and silver traffic to justify a mint; standing here makes the abandoned shafts and ruined haciendas around town feel less like scenery and more like the remains of an economy.
