Plaza Hidalgo is the small shaded centre of Real de Catorce, with fountains, a kiosk, and the usual slow traffic of vendors, pilgrims, and travellers deciding where to go next. Willys jeep tours often gather nearby.
It is not grand, but it is useful: sit here a while and the town's mix of ghost-town tourism, Catholic devotion, desert mysticism, and everyday mountain village life starts to make sense.
