Barracuda is on Calle Delfines, right in the middle of Sayulita's most atmospheric street, and it does very well with fresh fish. The tuna tostadas are the dish that gets mentioned most often — slices of sushi-grade tuna on crisp tortillas with avocado, cucumber, and a light dressing that stays out of the fish's way. Order them alongside something grilled and you have a solid meal.
The kitchen works with what's good that day, which means the menu shifts and the specials board is worth reading before you order from the printed list. Seafood is the clear strength: ceviche, aguachile, and various preparations of the catch brought in by local fishermen. The setting is lively — tables on the street under the papel picado flags — and the noise level on busy evenings is cheerful rather than oppressive.
Prices are moderate for the quality. Calle Delfines 21.
