Templo La Merced is one of the easiest landmarks to spot in Tapalpa's centre. Its bright white exterior and oversized bell tower stand out above the low red-roofed houses.
The interior is more colourful than the outside suggests, with granite columns, stained glass, and religious murals. It is worth a short stop while walking between the plaza, fountains, and market.
