Museo Salvador Ferrando fills a 19th-century house near the center with portraits, furniture, and personal objects. Ferrando was a local painter best known for portrait work, and the building itself is part of the appeal.
It is not a museum to cross Veracruz for, but it rounds out a visit well. After the plaza and churches, it gives a more domestic view of the town's prosperous river-port years.
