The Museo Regional de Tlaxcala occupies part of the old Franciscan complex near the cathedral. Its collections move from pre-Hispanic Tlaxcala through the colonial period, with archaeological pieces, religious art, and temporary exhibits.
Visit it after the cathedral. The museum fills in the local context that makes the city's churches, plazas, and murals easier to read.
