Gallery District

Todos Santos has attracted artists and craftspeople for decades, drawn by the light, the affordable colonial buildings, and the proximity to both desert and ocean. The result is a cluster of galleries and studios within a few blocks of the historic centre, concentrated mainly along Calle Topete and Calle Centenario.

The quality varies from tourist-oriented crafts to serious fine art. GalerĂa de Todos Santos, one of the oldest, shows large-format paintings by local and regional artists. The studios of individual painters, jewellers, and sculptors are often open to visitors; look for painted signs on the doorways of colonial-era houses. The annual Festival de Arte, usually held in November, brings in artists from across Mexico and the United States and is the liveliest week of the town's social calendar.
