Zona Arqueológica y Museo de Sitio de Tula

The archaeological zone of Tula preserves the remains of Tollan-Xicocotitlan, the Toltec capital that dominated central Mexico before the rise of the Aztec empire. The site is stark compared with Teotihuacan or Chichen Itza, but its warrior columns, reliefs, ball courts, and small site museum make it one of the key places for understanding the Toltecs.
