Playa Piskadó

Playa Piskadó, also called Playa Grandi, is a working fishermen's beach at Westpunt where sea turtles regularly gather close to shore. The beach itself is small and stony, but the chance to watch turtles in clear, shallow water makes it one of Curaçao's most popular snorkelling stops.

Popularity has brought crowds and poor behaviour. Keep several metres from turtles, never touch or chase them, and do not join in feeding wildlife. Boats, fishing activity, and occasional currents also demand attention in the water; this is not a petting zoo or a quiet swimming beach.
