Santa Ana Church stands on the north side of Central Park, painted in the warm yellow that seems made for western Nicaragua's sun. The church dates to the colonial period and is valued for its old wooden doors and original altarpiece.
It is the city's most graceful landmark, and worth seeing before the heat empties the streets.
