Hacienda Lealtad is a restored 19th-century coffee estate south of Lares, tied to the town's long coffee history. It is part museum, part working heritage site, and part reminder that the beauty of Puerto Rico's coffee country was built on hard labour.
Tours are by reservation, so check before making the mountain drive. If you can time it right, this is the strongest single stop around Lares.
