Locust Street, a few blocks north-west of downtown, is the prettiest residential street in Florence: wide, tree-shaded, and lined with substantial Victorian, Queen Anne, and Craftsman houses built between the 1880s and the 1920s. The whole street is on the National Register as a historic district.
It is a 15-minute self-guided walk that pairs well with a visit to the Rosenbaum House a few blocks south. Several of the houses are open during the annual Florence Old Town Christmas Tour each December.
