Osaka is the local Japanese restaurant — a reminder that Barrow's small population includes families from far further afield than Alaska. The menu runs to sushi, teriyaki, tempura, and ramen, all surprisingly competent given the logistics involved in getting raw fish to the top of the continent.
The dining room is small and unfancy. As with everywhere in town the prices are high and there is no alcohol. A welcome alternative to fried food after a day on the tundra.
