Bonelli House

The Bonelli House at the corner of Fifth and Spring Streets is Kingman's finest surviving example of early-twentieth-century domestic architecture. Built in 1915 for prosperous merchant George Bonelli, the two-storey house features a mix of Territorial and Victorian elements — wide wrap-around porch, decorative woodwork, and native tufa stone construction that kept the interior cool in Kingman's fierce summers.

The house is now a local museum maintained by the Mohave Museum of History and Arts, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Period furnishings fill the rooms and docent-led tours run on weekdays. It gives a good sense of what middle-class life in a desert railroad town looked like at the turn of the last century.
