Oatman's main street is the show. Wooden sidewalks, desert hills, old mining-town facades, and burros in the road make it feel like a roadside attraction that somehow became a living village.
The burros descend from animals used by miners and later released into the surrounding country. They are the town's unofficial hosts, but treat them as wild animals rather than props. The best visit is short, curious, and unhurried.
