Discovery Park is the public-facing science stop for Safford's astronomy story. Eastern Arizona College runs the site, with exhibits, public viewing opportunities, and visitor information for Mount Graham International Observatory tours.
The observatory tours are the prize, but they are seasonal and require advance planning. Even without a summit tour, Discovery Park helps explain why the dark mountains above Safford matter to astronomers.
