A 100-acre desert park on the city's northeast edge, surrounding a series of small spring-fed ponds where hot water once bubbled up — hence the name. The hot springs themselves have cooled, but the ponds remain, fringed by palms and cottonwoods that look out of place in the desert.
The 1873 ranch house is preserved and used as a small gallery, and the surrounding paths are good for birding. A pleasant, off-the-beaten-track stop, particularly at sunrise. Free.
