Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures

Address 4455 E. Camp Lowell Drive, Tucson, AZ
Website theminitimemachine.org

A genuinely strange and rewarding small museum on the city's east side, devoted entirely to miniature houses, dioramas and fantasy scenes — over 500 historical room boxes, dollhouses and Christmas displays, some made over decades by master miniaturists.

You think it sounds silly. Walk through and discover an entire eighteenth-century Parisian streetscape four inches tall, or a witch's cottage with working lights, or a perfect Mexican village square. Strangely affecting for both adults and kids. Closed Mondays.

A story
The collection started as one private hobby — Patricia Arnell spent over forty years acquiring miniature houses and accessories before opening this museum to the public in 2009. The largest piece is a fully detailed castle scaled at one inch to one foot, built over decades by a single craftsman.
