La Posada is the most handsome building in Winslow and one of the great survivors of the Fred Harvey railway era. Mary Colter designed it as a romantic Spanish-style inn for Santa Fe passengers, and the restored public spaces still carry that staged but convincing Southwest grandeur.
You do not need to stay overnight to appreciate it. Walk through the gardens, lobby, galleries, and trackside spaces, then look back at downtown Winslow with a better sense of how important the railroad once was here.
