The Arcadia branch of Din Tai Fung — at the Shops at Santa Anita mall — is one of the original US locations of the famous Taiwanese dumpling chain. The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) are the reason to come; the menu also covers cold appetisers, wontons in spicy chili oil, and Taiwanese noodle dishes.
Expect a wait, especially on weekends — an hour is normal. Put your name in early and walk the mall while you wait. Two people can eat well for around $50–$70 with tea. Open daily for lunch and dinner.
