Jake's Del Mar has been on the beachfront at Coast Boulevard since the 1970s, and it remains one of the most reliably good restaurants on the San Diego coast. The setting is the main attraction — a window table at Jake's puts the Pacific Ocean directly in front of you — but the kitchen backs it up with well-executed seafood and Hawaiian-influenced dishes.
