Ferndell is a shaded pocket of Griffith Park, with ferns, tropical plants, small footbridges, and a stream-side path that feels cooler and quieter than the surrounding hills. It works well as a gentle add-on before walking up toward Griffith Observatory.
Come for a short nature break rather than a formal museum. The paths are easy, picnic spots are nearby, and the greenery makes it especially useful on hot Los Angeles days.
