Seascape is the restaurant at the Trinidad harbour — a casual, unassuming place with the best views in town and a menu built around what the boats bring in. Dungeness crab in season is the reason to come: whole crab, cracked and served with drawn butter, alongside fish chowder and a cold local beer. The sourdough bread is made in-house. It is not sophisticated cooking, but it is honest and the ingredients are genuinely local.
The deck faces the bay and the sea stacks, and the harbour seals visible from the railing are not there by accident — the kitchen generates enough fish scraps to hold their interest. Open for lunch and dinner most days in summer; hours contract sharply in winter. Reservations are not usually necessary, but the deck fills quickly on sunny summer weekends.
