The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas is one of the largest Buddhist communities in the Western Hemisphere, set on the former Mendocino State Hospital grounds in Talmage. The campus has temple buildings, schools, orchards, fields, and old institutional architecture folded into a quiet monastic setting.
