Angel Stadium is the home ground of the Los Angeles Angels and one of the older surviving ballparks in Major League Baseball, opened in 1966. Attending a game here is a genuinely good way to spend an evening in Anaheim — the stadium has been well maintained, sightlines are excellent, and the atmosphere during a competitive game is far better than anything you'll find inside the tourist strip along Harbor Boulevard.
The Big A — the giant letter A with a halo on top that has become the team's logo — stands outside the stadium on Katella Avenue and is one of Anaheim's more recognisable landmarks. Baseball season runs from April to October. The stadium is about three miles southeast of Disneyland, easily reached by car.
