Old Town Placentia, the few blocks around the BNSF rail line and the future Metrolink station site, is the closest thing the city has to a walkable centre. The area is built around early-20th-century commercial buildings, slowly being restored as the city encourages a real downtown to take shape.
You will find a handful of independent restaurants, a brewery or two, and the SOCO district nearby with a clutch of craft food spots. It is small and quiet, but it has personality the rest of suburban Placentia largely lacks — visit on a Saturday afternoon, walk the few blocks, and have lunch.
