A 670-acre bayside park jutting into San Francisco Bay, Coyote Point has a marina, picnic areas, a windsurfing beach, and a network of easy trails along the shoreline. The views across the bay to the hills above Oakland are particularly good in the morning. Within the park, CuriOdyssey (formerly Coyote Point Museum) is a hands-on science and wildlife center with native California animals — mountain lions, bobcats, otters — living in naturalistic enclosures. It's a good stop if you have children, but the park itself is worth the visit regardless.
Entrance off Coyote Point Drive, off US-101. Small parking fee on weekends.
