The closest thing Sunnyvale has to a proper downtown: four blocks of restaurants, bars, and shops between Evelyn Avenue and Iowa Avenue, set on a tree-lined pedestrian-friendly street. On weekend evenings it genuinely fills up. Not a tourist sight exactly, but a good place to understand that this is a real town with residents, not just an office park with parking.
