Amtrak runs frequent trains on the Northeast Corridor from New York (about 2.5 hours) and Boston (about 3 hours). The Hartford Transportation Center on Union Place is the hub for both intercity trains and buses. By car, Hartford is two hours from New York and two hours from Boston on I-91 and I-84.
