Bethany Beach Nature Center

The Bethany Beach Nature Center at 807 Garfield Parkway is a small natural history centre run by the town, with walking trails through coastal marshland and interactive exhibits about the local ecosystem. It's a good stop for families with children who want a break from the beach, or for anyone interested in the birds and wildlife of the Delaware coast.

The trails run through salt marsh and maritime forest, and the birding is particularly good during migration seasons in spring and autumn. The centre runs guided nature walks and programmes in summer. Admission is free, and it's a short walk from the town centre.
