The Old New Castle Court House is one of the oldest surviving courthouses in the United States, built in 1732 over the remains of Delaware's first courthouse. It served as a colonial court, statehouse, and assembly meeting place when New Castle was Delaware's capital, and its history touches slavery, abolition, and the Underground Railroad.
