Anne's Beach

Anne's Beach on Lower Matecumbe Key is a shallow, mangrove-edged beach with boardwalks, picnic spots, and warm water that stays knee-deep for a long way. It is not a surf beach or a wide white-sand resort strand; it is a gentle Keys stop for wading and a pause from the road.

Because the water is so shallow, it works best at higher tide and in calm weather. Bring sandals for the bottom, watch for seagrass, and do not expect big facilities.
