December to April has the best weather: warm days, lower humidity, fewer mosquitoes, and clearer water between cold fronts. Summer is hotter and cheaper, with excellent swimming but a real hurricane-season caveat from June through November. Late July's lobster mini-season and October's Fantasy Fest can make rooms scarce and expensive.
