Seminole Theatre

The 1921 Seminole Theatre on Krome Avenue was the cultural centre of pre-war Homestead before Hurricane Andrew gutted it in 1992. After a long restoration effort it reopened in 2015 as a 460-seat performing arts centre, with the original Mediterranean Revival facade and a much-improved interior.

Programming ranges from touring music acts to local theatre to family films on weekends. It is a quietly civic-minded institution: cheap tickets, friendly volunteers, and a coffee bar in the lobby that doubles as a community gathering spot.
