Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts

Downtown performing arts center with Broadway touring shows and concerts

Orlando's main performing arts venue opened in 2014 and has become the anchor of the downtown cultural district. The complex houses two main stages — the Walt Disney Theater (2,700 seats) and the Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater (300 seats) — plus the intimate Steinmetz Hall, completed in 2022, which is acoustically remarkable and hosts chamber music, jazz, and experimental performance. Broadway touring productions and major orchestral concerts fill the calendar year-round.

Located on Magnolia Avenue in the heart of downtown, the building is itself a reason to visit — all glass and angles, well-designed public spaces, and directly connected to the street life of Orange Avenue.
