The Hardy Trail is a paved multi-use path that runs the length of downtown Dade City and beyond, built on the bed of a former railway line. The downtown section is short — about three miles round trip — but it links to the larger Withlacoochee State Trail network just to the north, opening up serious distances for cyclists.
Locals use it for morning walks; visitors use it for a quick way to see the edges of town on foot or by rented bike. Shaded by mature oaks for much of its length, which matters in a Florida summer.
