Things to Do

Pensacola Beach is primarily a beach destination, and the beach is genuinely excellent — white quartz sand that is fine and cool even in mid-summer, clear green Gulf water, and about eight miles of shoreline to spread out on. The Gulf Islands National Seashore protects the quieter eastern end of the island. Pensacola Pass at the western tip is good for fishing and watching boat traffic.

Watersports are the main activity: parasailing, jet skiing, paddleboarding, and dolphin-watching boat tours are all available from the boardwalk area. The Navarre Beach Marine Park to the east has one of Florida's longest fishing piers and good snorkelling around the artificial reef.
