A compact but beautifully kept garden on the bayfront, specialising in epiphytes — orchids, bromeliads, air plants. The collection is serious: Selby is a research institution as well as a public garden. It's not large, but it's dense and calming, with good views over Sarasota Bay. The historic Selby House on the grounds is open with admission.
