Lake Istokpoga is a broad, shallow lake south-east of Sebring, with boat access, fishing, and plenty of alligator habitat. Much of the water is covered by aquatic plants, which gives it a wilder feel than a simple town lake.
It is best if you are fishing, boating, or taking an airboat ride. Otherwise, treat it as a scenic add-on to the state park.
