Playalinda Beach is the southern district's main draw, a long Atlantic strand backed by dunes and scrub rather than hotels. It is wilder and less serviced than Cocoa Beach, with numbered parking areas, boardwalk crossings, and plenty of space once you walk a little.
Swimming conditions depend on surf and currents, and lifeguard coverage is limited compared with city beaches. It is excellent for sunrise, surf fishing, shelling, and launch watching, but bring everything you need and leave nothing behind.
