Creature Comforts is the brewery that put Athens on the craft beer map beyond its own city limits. Their Tropicalia IPA became a regional sensation and is now distributed well outside Georgia. The taproom on Broad Street is one of the better places in town to drink — comfortable, unpretentious, and with a solid selection of year-round and seasonal beers on tap.
The space occupies a converted building with good outdoor seating. They do not serve food, but you can bring your own or order from nearby restaurants. Tours of the brewing floor are available on weekends. If Tropicalia is on tap (it usually is), that's the place to start.
