Inman Park

Atlanta's first planned suburb, laid out in 1889 by Joel Hurt as a streetcar neighbourhood for the post-Reconstruction elite. The surviving Queen Anne and Victorian mansions along Edgewood Avenue, Euclid Avenue, and Elizabeth Street are the architectural showcase.

Inman Park is now a walkable district of restored homes, independent restaurants and bars, and the Krog Street Market — the smaller, more intimate sister to Ponce City Market. The annual Inman Park Festival, the last weekend of April, fills the streets with porch crawls and a 5K race.
