The Idaho Falls River Walk, also called the Greenbelt, is the city's best public space. It follows the Snake River through the centre of town, with views of the low falls, gardens, lawns, bridges, and the white Idaho Falls Temple rising above the east bank.
It is not wilderness, and it is better for that. This is an easy urban walk where you can stretch after a long drive, watch the river move through town, and understand why Idaho Falls is more than a freeway stop.
