Sandpoint City Beach is why the town's geography works so well for travellers. The park sits on a small point at the edge of downtown, with open views across Lake Pend Oreille and enough space for swimming, picnics, and a slow walk by the water.
It is not wild, and that is the point. You can come here between coffee, dinner, and the rest of town without turning the lake into a separate excursion.
