A privately funded, free-to-use library in central Ketchum that has been open since 1955. It runs an outsized programme for a town of seven thousand people — author talks, lecture series, oral-history projects, and a strong regional history collection in the Regional History Department on the second floor.
The Hemingway papers and several thousand letters relating to the writer's Ketchum years are held here. The reading rooms are open to drop-ins; researchers can ask at the desk to see archival material with a day's notice. There is a good cafe attached.
