The Brooks Catsup Bottle Water Tower is exactly what it sounds like: a 170-foot water tower built in 1949 and shaped like a giant bottle of catsup. It stands on Route 66 on the south side of town, painted in Brooks' distinctive red-and-white livery, and it is officially recognized by Roadside America as the world's largest catsup bottle. The structure is a functioning water tower and a cherished piece of American roadside culture.
A local preservation group saved it from demolition in 1995 and has restored it twice since. There is no formal visitor center — you park on the shoulder, walk up, and take your photo. The bottle hosts an annual festival in July that draws Route 66 enthusiasts from across the region.
