Obed & Isaac's Microbrewery

Obed & Isaac's is a well-regarded brewpub in a renovated historic building on Main Street, producing its own ales, lagers, and seasonal beers alongside a solid pub menu. The space is comfortable and unpretentious, the pours are generous, and it is generally considered the most reliable option for a decent meal and a local craft beer in downtown Peoria. The building itself has good bones — exposed brick, original woodwork — and is a better environment than the chain restaurants that dominate the outer suburbs.

The food covers the standard American gastropub range: burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a daily special or two. Nothing adventurous, but consistently well-executed and reasonably priced by any standard. It tends to fill up on weekend evenings with a mix of locals and visitors staying downtown, so arrive early or expect a wait.
